Gaye's favourite medium for art expression is watercolour and her strength is in drawing, and as her style is still in the developmental stage she has been exploring oil and acrylic media too. Her subject matter stretches from elephants to marble busts and abstract works that incorporate some collaging.

Art has always played an important part in her life and colour is the magnet that inspires her. The long term goal is to be able to express the spiritual nature of life in her work.

Prior to joining Kevin Taylor's Art Group in 2011, Gaye was a student at the Brisbane Institute of Art for several years and has studied watercolour under the tutelage of Sandra Woolard in more recent times.
